Closely resembling the tip of a metalworking drill bit, this design allows smooth material flow into the bucket and larger openings than comparable tools. Digging is done by bucket bottom as well as the teeth.

Champion Buckets with Reamers
For cutting larger diameters than the actual bucket size, expandable reamer blades can be installed in larger auger buckets. These can be the swing-out type or the slide-out type as shown. Reamers are available for bucket size from 24 to 60 inches and may be equipped with any type of cutter bits required for the job.
Champion Expansion Reamers
The expansion reamers is designed to enlarge the bottom of holes to provide additional bearing area for caissons. Arms with cutter bits on the reamer swing out to cut the enlargement as pressure is applied on the kelly bar. The arms retract upon withdrawal of the kelly from the hole. Champion builds reamers to any size and shape to meet customer's needs.
Champion Coring Barrels
Champion Coring Barrels can be made for any rock condition. The flat cutter core barrel, shown at the lower right, uses tungsten carbide teeth to cut a kerf of only 3/4". It is an efficient and economical tool for softer formations.
The rotating carbide tooth core barrel, shown at the upper right, is used in even the hardest rock and in conditions subjecting the teeth to high shock loading.
